Today we learned about imaging and I actually took notes so I can talk abnout it now.
Tip:Compose your pictures to get attention and deliver a message.
Learn Photo Composition
As we all know rules are meant to be broken. These are just a few guidelines to make your picture better. Phots can either be look at as 2d with colour or 3d that has been flattened into a 2d photo. Guidelines:
Two dimesional rules
Rules of Thirds: divide the photo into 9 squares then locate important pieces and place them at cross points
Disapperaing Lines into corners: get lines to disappear into corner to make composition stronger.
Use S curves: use s curves to make it more appealing for water, roads and people.
Movement into the majority of the frame: try to place the moving object into the middle of the image instead of near the edge.
Monotonous Content: make your photo complicated and detailed so that the reader can think about the pictire
Three dimensional rules:
(for landscape and enviorment photos)
Using layers of (Textures Lighting): Using layers of lighting the eyes easily trace outlines.
Using Silhouettes: dark silhoutettes expose the frame in a high contrast scene. Fog looks good because it blends.
Using Reflections: Reflections look good frmo the side of the image
Using Depth of Field to Guide the Viewer: use the shallow depth of filed to make the image not so complicated.
